The NIA Hospital Block consists of OPD and IPD Facilities on 280 General beds (in campus) and 11 Private wards, Panchakarma Unit, Yoga Unit, Central Laboratory, Primary Emergency Care Unit for IPD patients, Deluxe Wards, Cottage Wards, Cubical Wards, General Wards, Operation Theatres, Consultation Rooms, X-ray Room, ECG Room, Sonography Room, Physiotherapy Facility, etc.
The main objective of the Hospital is to provide medical care through Ayurvedic System of Medicine to the suffering humanity and the Institute is doing excellent activities in the field of Patient Care Activities through its OPD, IPD, Panchakarma Therapies, Primary Emergency Care Unit for IPD patients, Central Laboratory with Pathological Tests, X-ray, ECG, Ultra Sound etc., ENT unit with Audiometry facility, Eye unit with the facilities of Refraction, Tonometry, Perimetry, OCT etc., Dentistry, Asthi-Sandhi Roga and Aghata Chikitsa (Orthopedics and Trauma care Unit), Tvak Roga Chikitsa, Anorectal treatment, Kshara Sutra Karma, Jalaukavacharana, Agnikarma, Vaccination, Infertility treatment, Antenatal care, Swarna Prashana and Immunization facility for children, Labour room with neonatal care unit, operation theatre etc. Many speciality clinics and units like Cancer clinic, De-addiction unit, Marma-Chikitsa, Beauty clinic, Diabetes consultation, Yoga unit etc. are also available. IPD Admission procedure
On recommendation of the consultant patient approaches the IPD reception/ Registration Counter and after some basic formalities i.e. submission of photocopies of Adhara Card/Voter I’d/valid I’d proof and COVID-19 vaccination certificate (both doses) etc., patient is admitted under the concerned consultant and department. The patient is shifted to the admitted ward after allocating Bed number. Only one attendant is allowed to stay with patient in IPD in case patient is unable to perform day to day activities and attendant will also have to submit documents same as patient.
All the available Laboratory investigations and Panchakarma procedures are free of charge to all the admitted patients in general wards.
IPD Registration Charges
For general patients- Rs 30/-
Free of Charge category- Senior citizens, Freedom fighters, BPL card holders, staff and students of National Institute of Ayurveda are having free IPD registration.

IPD wing is categorized as General Male, female, child wards and private wards (cubical, cottage and deluxe wards).
Total General beds available- 280 NIA Campus and 20 SSBW hospital.
Presently operational beds are 270 including General beds (239), cubical (4), cottage (5), deluxe wards (2) and SSBW hospital (20 beds), rest of the beds are not operational due to construction activities running in hospital building.

Paid Private Beds (11)- 04 Cubical wards, 05 cottage and 02 deluxe wards are available with many facilities. Patients are charged 400/- rupees per day for Cubical wards, 700/- rupees per day for cottage ward and 1000/- rupees per day for deluxe ward.
Pathya (Diet)
All the Patients admitted in the NIA hospital are served the free of cost diet as prescribed by the consultant available under pathya system of the hospital.
Medicine dispensing procedure
All the Patients admitted in the NIA hospital IPD are given the free of cost medicine available at hospital as prescribed by the consultant.
Primary Emergency Care Unit
Primary Emergency Care Unit (PECU) is working round the clock for indoor patients. Ayurvedic medicines are prescribed by the Ayurvedic consultants and allopathic medicines are advised and supervised by modern consultant.
